Settings

Open Settings and tap Aria Assistant. All options here affect how Aria behaves across lessons, the in-lesson question button, and the standalone chat.

2

Choose a personality

The Personality setting controls Aria's communication style:

• Concise — short, direct answers with minimal elaboration. Good when you want quick answers and can fill in the gaps yourself.
• Balanced — the default. Explains concepts fully without over-explaining. Suits most learners.
• Detailed — longer explanations with more context, examples, and theory background. Good when you're curious and want to understand the 'why'.

Tip You can switch personality mid-session without losing your conversation history. Try Concise when you're in a flow state and don't want to stop to read, and Detailed when you're stuck on a concept.
3

Enable or disable lesson narration

When Lesson Narration is on, Aria reads lesson text aloud as you work through each step — words highlight sentence by sentence in sync with her voice. Turn this off if you prefer to read silently or are in a place where audio isn't practical.

The narration voice and speed are set in the Learn or Practice settings section.

4

Conversation history

Aria remembers your last conversation and shows it as read-only context when you reopen the chat. Tap the clock button inside the chat to browse your full history.

To start fresh, use Clear Conversation in Aria settings. This removes the current session from Aria's context but does not delete your lesson progress.

5

Apple Intelligence

On supported devices, Aria uses Apple Intelligence for on-device processing — keeping your music conversations private. If Apple Intelligence is available but not yet set up, Aria will show a guided setup prompt. On unsupported devices, Aria falls back to a cloud-based model automatically.
