Tiny Instrument

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 23, 2026

Tiny Instrument is designed with privacy as a default. The app does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not sell or share your data with third parties.

Data collected

Tiny Instrument does not collect your name, email address, location, or any other personally identifiable information. No account is required to use the app.

All learning progress, practice history, saved chord progressions, and app settings are stored locally on your device or synced through iCloud if you have iCloud enabled. This data is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy, not by Codeloop.

Anonymous analytics

Tiny Instrument uses Aptabase to collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics. This helps us understand which features are used and improve the app. No personally identifiable information is attached to these events. You can opt out of analytics in the app settings.

Aria and Apple Intelligence

The Aria assistant in Tiny Instrument is powered entirely by Apple Intelligence and runs on-device. Conversations with Aria, the questions you ask, and the lesson context Aria accesses are never sent to Codeloop servers or any third-party service. All processing happens locally on your device. Aria requires a supported Apple Intelligence device running iOS 18.1 or later.

In-app purchases

Tiny Instrument offers optional one-time in-app purchases to unlock additional content. All purchases are processed securely by Apple through the App Store. Codeloop does not receive or store your payment information.

Third-party services

Tiny Instrument does not integrate with advertising networks or social media platforms. The only third-party service used is Aptabase for anonymous analytics, as described above.

Children

Tiny Instrument does not knowingly collect any information from children. Because no personal data is collected at all, the app is safe for users of any age.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. We will notify users of significant changes via an in-app notice or App Store update notes.
